    Steering Flush & Cleaning

I cannot speak for others… but for me, the Toyota ATF is $13/ quart, and reportedly is not a full synthetic oil… group 3 base stock blend. Whereas Valvoline Maxlife ATF is indeed a FULL synthetic oil, and has utility outside the Toyota WS classification And Amazon has 3 gallons for $78. That...

Looks well taken care of. I like it. They make a positive terminal cover for the battery… $21 at the dealership $7.25 at Partsouq… $5.59 at Impex If you’ve got other stuff to order. Adds another factor of safety, and cleans it up a little more.

2000LC Replacement Charcoal Canister Options in 2025?

There is always a way to do a thing. But until somebody does it, and documents the procedure, and tests it for functionality… it is uncharted territory. The ‘03+ 100 series charcoal vapor canister, located by the spare tire, is not cheap… $450 from Toyota and $400+ aftermarket. Now, let me...

2000LC Replacement Charcoal Canister Options in 2025?

I too, have that OCD bug with regards to this type of problem-solving. I would not attempt to use any type JB weld, or sealer on a pressure vessel… Even though this vessel does not see much pressure, it is going to oil can slightly.. Which would destroy glue or sealer by fracturing it. I...

2000LC Replacement Charcoal Canister Options in 2025?

I completely agree… scalper pricing. At that cost, if I needed a replacement vapor canister, I would surgically open mine and replace the charcoal inside and clean all the valves. And spend the extra money on a high grade ABS plastic welding machine to reseal the charcoal canister. They make...

    1. Remove your AC cabin air filters and replace the cover without the filters. 2. Raise the vehicle and remove the front skid plate to gain access to the AC evaporator drain… on the right side of the firewall above the right front sway bar body mount. This is a good time to check and see if the...

What have you done to your 100 Series this week?

I used an AC coil cleaning kit to remove funky smells when the AC is turned off… Did a little searching and found that the $40 Toyota kit is made by ZEP for Toyota… Heads up… Turns out that the $18 Subaru kit ( made by ZEP for Subaru) is EXACTLY the same as the Toyota kit… just $20+ dollars...
