Check those front diff bushings! I spent thousands on parts chasing down this issue and it was a $100 part. Remove the front skid plate, get underneith and have someone hold the brake while shifting from R to D. It will be obvious if there is too much play in the front differential assembly.

I would second OEM. The Delphi has a faint audible whistle that the OEM did not have. I doubt I will get 417k out of this one making noise already.

An easy way to test the fuel pump is to shoot some starting fluid into the air filter box towards the intake and see if it fires for a moment. Just had to replace mine for the first time at 417,000. Same symptoms, security light off, crank, no fire, no codes, no warning.
