I'd look into DEI aluminized sleeving heat sheath or something similar. Not sure if it will dampen noise, but it shouldnt melt in the intake valley. Did you have the exhaust manifolds resurfaced and/or check them for cracks? Leaking or cracked manifolds could make that type of noise.
