Thanks, that helps. It's a 96, front locks no trouble, rear light just flashes. Although it feels like it may be trying to engage, you can feel it when turning. Like the pin isn't going in the whole way.

Sounds like my situation, hope it an electrial connector on mine !

Picked up a stick driving thru a washed out beaver dam, and it damaged / destroyed the wiring harness (3-wire) @ the back of the transmission. Pulled it off the foward? connection, wires pulled out of the plug at the rear. Question; anyone know the Toyota part number? Can anybody reccomend a...
