When I drive my 2010 LX in manual shift mode I notice that there is a significant amount of stiffness or stiction to move the shift lever between gears. Is this normal or is my lever gummed up with something?

Just checked and mine does the same. No light unless I hold the button. I haven't driven it for a while, but I don't recall it coming on when there is no trailer connected.
