Thanks for the tips. Think I'll leave it alone and start hunting for a cheap HU like Juicemode did. FWIW, I didn't clean the LCD, but there was a period where the car sat exposed to hot sun. And recall it started going downhill from there! So, don't idiotically cook your car's interior like I did.

Ok good folks, mystery solved. The 19 years old female alternator connector crumbled on the inside while the external looked perfectly good! I pulled the 3 wires out and then individually heat shranked them, and gingerly stuck them into the male counterparts. Insulation taped them and will wait...

Yes, the product is from the company Hong Xuan as per link below. Hopefully it is helpful. They're very responsive when I enquired, but the sales guy didn't know where that white cable goes. 😆

Hi folks, we're having trouble separating one of the upper ball joints and looking to buy the pitman puller. There's 2 available where we are, and the jaw opening sizes are 27mm (tool 1129) or 34mm (tool 1952). Any suggestions on which one is the correct size for the 100-series? Thanks in advance!
