    Anyone know of a good mechanic in so cal who has done a v8 conversion? I have a 71 and am looking to swap out the engine and prob the 3 speed. I know TLC does it, but a brand new fuel injected GM isn't really what I'm looking for. Thanks!

    I'm about to buy a tuffy console. I have 9 inches between the triangular corner of the fuel tank and the drivers seat. Was thinking of getting the 8 inch.     Production date doesn't match title date

    The vin numbers all match but I noticed today that my FJ40 is a year off. The ID in the door says production Oct 1971 but my CA registration says 1972 as does the title. Anyone know if this is a pain to change or a big deal... or does it mean it was sold originally in 1972? Thanks for any info...
