    "water bv-pass hose" snapped off...

alia 176 "Kitchen on fire...splain...." I almost forgot about that! ...was testing different materials in boiling H2O... turned off the (gas) burner (actually only down all the way) then washed up, went back outside to work on the car and tossed the damp dish towel down on the stove... Yep...

New oxygen sensor + installation, need help

OK, Thanks for the input... but I gotta jump back in here and clarify my question... The tools are a must... I get it, but what I'm asking is how do you get in there to work? Or, have ALL of you removed the exhaust pipe w/ the studs on it to get to it? Then I've got another set of nuts and bolts...

New oxygen sensor + installation, need help

OK... I'm happy to know the milage is better and all, but how do you get to these things? I just found out my outer O2 sensor is leaking... tried to fix it... no nuts... rusted off. Easy fix, right? Not with that darn shield on there! how many of you have replaced your O2 sensors W/O the shield...

    "water bv-pass hose" snapped off...

SuperGlue Update SuperGlue held all the way to CO and back (from St. Louis... ~900 miles one way) but I did start loosing fluid. I can't tell if it is the superglue that failed or the silicone that someone else put on there before me. I'll pull apart sometime and clean it up and reapply so see...

    "water bv-pass hose" snapped off...

Update... ok, so someone already sleeved the thing... looked like plastic, not brass, but couldn't pull it out all the way... I tested some "Superglue brand, Plastic Fusion" epoxy vs some "Locktite super glue" on an old broken plastic cooling tube from the wife's Rover... results were...

    "water bv-pass hose" snapped off...

Part Deux... just cleaned the little booger off. guess what I found... epoxy. i think the idiots at the garage broke it off and epoxied the booger back on. (at least temporarily...) Only thing I can tell is that hose clamp has moved recently (can still see the old impression and the clean...

    "water bv-pass hose" snapped off...

Looks like my "water by-pass hose" nipple broke off at the radiator. It looks like it may have pee'd a little on the front of the engine at oil filler... The hose clamp (and hose) is attached to a plastic nipple which looks like it broke free from the radiator, but there appears to be a smaller...

anti-lock pulsing at END of a stop?

No mods on it, bone stock. I think I'll bleed the lines sometime. The fluid is ancient so it can't hurt. Think I'll wait because I've spent the last 5 weekends working on a vehicle in the driveway... (2 weekends were the wifes 'rover'). I need a garage. (and an unlimited supply of time on my...

anti-lock pulsing at END of a stop?

No, No ABS light, and I didn't touch the rear sensors. I thought about pulling them to clean, but thought better of it when I realized I'd have to pull the brake lines loose just to get to the sensor's retaining bolt. (didn't want to get that serious w/ the family waiting indoors for the weekend...
