35s definitely fit without any real modifications; have an sr5 Trd off road on 285/75r18 (about 35.2”). No lift or any sort of chopping etc for clearance. Main issue is spare tire has to be deflated to about 10psi to fit but I have air compressor always with me so not an issue. Stock wheel...
FYI if people search in the future. Bone stock Trd off road for 18” wheel offset and no lift etc. fits with plenty of room on street and what compression I have tried/is easily done right now. This is with a Maxxis AT so fairly aggressive all terrain in terms of true to size and side wall lugs...
Just got a flat and was going to replace the tires down the road anyway. The vehicle is a completely stock Trd off road 18” wheel. Has anyone run the 285/75r18 with no rubbing on or off road on the 3rd gen? I would want to ensure the spare tire would fit as well.
I have a set of 5 20” lx 570 wheels (spare included) with stock size Michelin tires and factory tpms. My lx was totaled and these where the stock tires that where for winter use. These would be for pickup only in the Wichita area. Asking $600 for the set of 5.
Trying to figure out how to lower...
Honestly this car will be only off-road for very simple things as it will be wife’s vehicle. Unfortunately we lost our lx570 so eventually will probably build a tundra or something for overland type camping
Yeah, I understand the getting it replaced asap with that size difference. Which is why I am wondering if I can get the diameter to within a couple tenths of an inch or I will just replace them all. In the short term there will be no off-road use until figured out.
I just bought a 2018 gx460 that came with 275/65r18 cooper atp 2 from the dealership. But the spare is the stock 265/60, I would prefer something closer in diameter but it seems like the 275 may not fit underneath the vehicle. Other than buying new tires, which would suck as these are brand new...
Wife had a trip and needed the compressor but did not take the portable so trying to figure out a relatively simple on board set up. Ideally that could be used if I ever do a rear locker down the road. Mainly thinking the slew arb single but can’t see wiring instructions on their site. Any input...
Yeah those are a bit wide regarding side lugs etc. but they tuck up into the wheel well when compressed. Angle was maybe not perfect as it was close to a refrigerator.
I can try to put a few more up later, any specific area that concerns you clearance wise? For me it was remove mud flaps, trim the door/step molding (that was already done for sliders, push the mud flap bracket back, and use heat gun to form liners as close to metal as possible. With that done...
This is the area where the most clearance issues existed on mine: mud flap removed, trimmed step cover (already mostly done during rock slider install) , slightly pushed back metal bracket that is towards the inside for mud flap (~ 1 inch back), heat gun the liner pushed back a couple inches...
