Did you bench bleed prior to re-install?

Thank you for this thread. Tapping from the bottom on the disy is the best way to get it loose. Got to get that disy out to properly do the side cover gasket.

Use Kurt. You will also need a brass drift, & an internal jaw puller slide hammer to get out the bearings in the rear axle tube. Have fun..lots of little things have probably been neglected on the old girl

I think you pull your steering wheel and set it straight. As long as the vehicle drives straight or post alignment.

I cut mine off with a cutoff wheel. It worked fine
