    Ultimate winter tech question

Rain-X has worked great for me when it's been -10 in the mountains up here in Idaho.

    landcruiser seat thread

The cruiser rails. I drilled out the holes a bit, I was just hoping to have them done over lunch. Not a big deal. I think I was just being exceptionally b#$&chy because I was in the rain, and having a bad day. It's actually pretty friggen cool how easy these seats were to match up!

    landcruiser seat thread

I have a set of the Procar seats I am trying to get in, and the rails won't fit on one of them. The holes are 1 cm off on both rails :( Very frustrating.

    V8 swap Q's

I have a carb'd 350 in mine, specifically wanted a carb for the reasons you state, and to be honest, a month into it and I wish I'd gone fuel injected. Too many years of having cars that just work I guess. Waiting for it to warm up in the mornings. Having to fuss with it to get decent fuel...

    Question: SBC Fuel Economy...

Thanks again guys. I'm not looking to get gobs of MPGs, I was just taught that one good way to know if you have issues is if you are getting poor fuel economy (versus just getting poor in general from having a big truck ;) ). It looks like I'm getting about right, so I'm happy. I'll look into...

    Question: SBC Fuel Economy...

Thanks guys. Elbert, that sounds true. I'd just though no hole in the fuel tank and a tune up would net me something in mileage. If I take lehiguy's 16 MPG, factor the difference of NV4500 to TH350, NP241 to NP203, higher HP engine (more efficient) to mine, I think I'm doing OK at 10, which I'm...

    Question: SBC Fuel Economy...

The engine is an early 90s Target Master crate motor, it looks to be the same heads. The carb is an Edelbrock 1405. The manifold says Edelbrock in the front, and Performer by the distributor. New Taylor 8mm wires. Pertronix Flame thrower coil and HEI internals. Timing was set at 2 before I did...

Wanted  WTB:FJ60 rear seat rear trim

I am looking for the rear rubber trim that goes around the carpet on the back of the rear seat in an FJ60. Would need to be shipped to 83860.

    Question: SBC Fuel Economy...

Thanks for all the replies. I guess I will stop fusing with the engine until I can swap out the NP203, and maybe the TH350, and/or watch CL for a fuel injection setup. For inkpot, it's just a GM 350 crate motor, Edelbrock manifold and carb of undetermined models (to be honest, the carb is...

    Question: SBC Fuel Economy...

OK, I got a new gastank to replace the one with a hole, did a complete tuneup, including installing a Pertronix Flame Thrower HEI coil setup and Taylor plug wires, adjusted my timing, etc, and I'm still getting 10 MPG. I am HEI carburated, and have a NP203, turning new 32-11.5 BFG Mud Terrains...

Possible deal on Hell Creek Ebay Springs or other Ebay purchases..

I can't decide if I should do this. If you go here: eBay Live.com cashback it's up to 30% - SlickDeals.net Forums there is a deal where you can get 30% back from Buy It Now purchases on Ebay (up to $200 I think). That would take the Hell Creek springs down to $500. But when I go camping I load...

    Wheel/Tire Question...

Never mind, I'm a fool. I measured my rims and they were 16 inches, but figured out they are still 15 inch rims.

    SBC guys:TH350/NP203 to 700R4/NP241?

If I just swap the NP203 for a NP241 or NP208, I would need to swap the cross member, get the 700R4 to NP241 adapter plate(but use it on my TH350), mess with the linkage, have my drive shafts redone, and change the yoke, right? I don't know, if I'm going to do that, I might as well bolt in the...

New gas tank for me :(

Thanks Butt Ugly. Yeah, I called on that when I got the rig, hoping that if it hadn't been done then as part of that work they would find the cause of my gas smell. It was done when the recall first came out (damn responsible owners!).

New gas tank for me :(

Thanks sdbrassfield. I all ready approved the mechanic ordering one. Plus the vehicle is pretty far from here, it would be a lot to tow home. I've had it three weeks, towed home once already, and almost had to tow another :( I don't think my wife would like that yet again. Plus I agreed it's not...
