Ok, so I pulled the switch out of my 77' FJ55 for comparison. Big difference. The early has 3 wires for the high beams, 4 for the turn signals. The later model has 3 for the high beams, and 6 wires for the turn signals. The mounting pattern is different on the column itself, and the switch...
