Same here. I’m strongly considering replacing my 2012 Ram Power Wagon with a 200 or GX460 but the asking prices are very optimistic to ridiculous. I’ve owned an FJ Cruiser and triple locked 80 before and would like to be back in an SUV with Toyota reliability.
This is my old truck. At one time I had one of the original York OBA brackets and a compressor but decided it wasn’t something I wanted to mess with and sold them off.
My plan if we had kept it was an LS swap..
No SA snow pics from me..we were stuck in Atlanta for the night due to canceled flights
I may still have some from the last snowfall we had back when I had my 80..
We're actually using an '08 Sequoia Platinum..I lurk the 200 section as I'm hoping to get one later this year. I feel the Sequioa could handle the next size up trailers if I watch the tongue weight. 200s have a couple hundred more lbs of payload than our truck and i think would be fine with a...
Last summer we bought a Shadow Cruiser 240BHS which is a similar floor plan to the 2455BHS...We had looked at the next step up floor plans like the 27BHSS and the Grand Design 2800BHS but decided against it due to it pushing the limits of the TV we owned at the time.
After a year with the 240...
Id be a little leery of buying from this dealer.. They have a lot of fees that are mandatory along with non negotiable prices that tend to run from high retail up to obnoxious. I looked at a Suburban 2500 with the 8.1 big block motor there last year. they were asking twice the market value and...
Kinda late posting this but the July meeting will be this saturday July 2. Same location as always- Panera Break on North Loop 1604 @ Blanco Rd.
We will discuss going somewhere different for August along with possibly having an evening get together somewhere.
I've noticed the same about the newer diesels while researching for something new.
I'd like a newer diesel truck and the only one that really seems worth going after is a Ram with the Cummins. But even those are hit and miss in issues. Doing a full DEF/DPF delete appears to help reliability...
I'm kinda late to this but yes the '01-'06 2500 Burbs/Yukons with the 8.1 big block gas motor and the 4.10(I think) gears have a 12k pound tow cap and near 3k pound payload cap.
Expect 8-12mpg and consistent high single digits if towing heavy. I really really want one for the wife but the gas...
Check here to see a ball park invoice price and get an idea as to what the dealer pain. Depending on floor plan and options that could a decent price at 8995. http://www.seedealercost.com/recv
Good luck with it! Starcraft builds a decent unit and offers the 2 year warranty standard.
Weve looked at them a few times but they dont have a large enough floor plan to suit our needs.
These are an ok trailer. Very entry level but if you get the price right it'll be worth it.
Just beware towing with an 80 series. We rented a similar size hybrid trailer a few years ago and towing...
