    Gas spurts when filling up

Yep, just got her the last week of this May and have been working on her, slowly but surely! The hotter temperatures (not as bad as 104, but up to mid 90’s) lately combined with when I tend to fill up seems to be the issue here. I filled up today before heading off and there was zero blow back...

    Gas spurts when filling up

That’s an interesting point that I hadn’t given much thought, I lately have been filling up after long drives so the tank may be hot and more pressurized. I’ll have to fill up at the beginning of a drive next time and see if that makes a difference. And of course, I never top off.

    Gas spurts when filling up

Sorry for not being clear, I meant gas dripping from the nozzle as I’m filling up due to what could be back flow, positive pressure, or maybe back splash?

    Gas spurts when filling up

Hi mud, need some help here. Like many others, I had the hissing and pressure issues with my fuel tank. I swapped my charcoal canister with the VC 120 a while back which eliminated the hissing completely and was able to fill up my tank again with no issues. I thought I was in the clear! I...

    Rear hatch lock cylinder

Man, I would love to have something like that nearby. Patience is not my strong suit haha. Picked up some metal epoxy, and molded a little stopper on the end to catch the e clip. Made sure to scratch up the surface before pressing on the epoxy, and it seems solid enough. Also used a razor blade...

    Rear hatch lock cylinder

How hard would it be to get a new cylinder for the rear? I was looking around at a full set replacement before doing this (part no. 69005 6a260) and it looked like they were NLA. Could I epoxy a tiny bolt and washer maybe? The other piece that broke off is somewhere in the hatch unfortunately

    Rear hatch lock cylinder

Hey mud, my key wasn’t turning in the rear hatch so I took out the rear lock cylinder to give it a clean and lubricating. Good news is it locks and unlocks now, bad news is a chipped the little part that e-clip holds onto in order to connect the rod. Tip: it looks like a screw driver goes there...

door lock actuator remove and replace?

Sounds about right hahaha But really, I appreciate you taking the time to write all this out! The advice is helpful especially when thinking about getting together everything I’ll need before opening up the doors again (though let’s be honest I’ll probably end up still forgetting something)...

door lock actuator remove and replace?

I think that’s just me not wanting to have to take apart my doors multiple times if I can avoid it haha

door lock actuator remove and replace?

Whoa you weren't kidding at 60 bucks a jar! The window regulators are also on my list - my rear passenger doesn't move and if I'm going work on one, might as well work on all of them right?

door lock actuator remove and replace?

My lock cylinder sure feels like it could use a cleaning. And with how weak the locks are especially on hot days, I think I’ll be taking apart the all doors to look them over and give them a god cleaning. The one I already did was pretty gunked up. Thanks for the tip!
