I use only Amsoil in my drive line.There is a noticable reduction in friction.....more braking required on familair down slopes.Amsoil claims 4.2% increase in fuel economy with syn. in diffs.Another advantage if you are operating in extereme cold.....-40 etc.....you wil not be able to to operate...

Lot of folks switch to 16" rims because the 81 is a frairly heavy truck and there is a greater assortment of D and E rated tires in this size. Cheers Stephen

I have a granger valve on my 13-bt.It,s called a Dawes Device.About $50.It seems to work well.The adjustments are fairley acurratley described in the instructions(monitoired by in dash guage).I also found that the ETGS went down when I put the boost up to 13lbs. at near factory fuel settings...

Hi Chang Temro is a canadian company that makes silencers for industrial plants, hospital generators etc. they are very effecient and leading edge design ....super quality and heavy duty construction.They have a web site.My coment about noise was that larger pipes won,t give you better...

When re doing the exaust on my 74 13-bt the consesus was 2.5 inch best pipe diameter.....bigger means more noise not more power.I used a temro spin silencer ......big breathing improvement. Cheers Stephen

Sludge to keep your engine sealed???Not for me.An idea might be to use an engine flush and change filters very soon.Some synthetic rep for causing leaks came from oil manufactures reducing additive packages to keep costs down.Premuim modern synthetics have more seal swelling additives than dyno...
