clean your carb too. i have passed CA smog 10 times and have the scars to prove it. it can be done, do not get discouraged.

Just completed installing mine this weekend. Engine fired up on first crank after sitting for over a month. Idle was smooth and steady with a cold engine. No more choke or pumping the gas! I bought the kit with the distributor. Not road tested...

Agreed. It ran good for a carburetor but that is like saying it charged good a generator. In my opinion FI is way more reliable then carburation and much more tolerant of the alcohol in todays gas blends. No vapor lock or high altitude problems...
