You're very lucky, I would WAY prefer to have had the manual buttons and a standard smart screen then the tesla style screen. Even though I had a very successful install and it's working great.

Did you resolve the upside down screen and zlink? My screen is upside down now too, not sure what to do

Another follow-up, I've proceeded assuming that it is normal for the 32 is split. I put the red reverse wire on my rca cable (with reverse wire) into slot 7 It's a greyish wire I also put the positive yellow wire in 40 and the black negative in 39, it showed no signal with the backup frame...

Should the 32 be split in two?

What's the best way of actually getting the wires in? I have posi-taps, but the wires seem a bit thin

I would love this. All the wiring does seem very complex to me, I'd need about 4 clear Saturdays, but I'd be future-proofed then

a $400 mistake for me. I got one, the sounds wouldn't work, the seller wouldn't respond, the carplay stopped working, it kept messing with the on/off on the car amp, the ac screen was static and wouldn't visually respond to input... AVOID

This is an unbelievably cool solution. Had I seen this first, I may have gone with it. have you an idea of total cost? There are 35 pages on that forum, a lot to digest, but I would have preferred to go with the hardware ac controls and be able to use brand double dins too
