Has anyone experienced the overhang/mold that retains the spring weaken or flatten out on the stem of the side mirror base? My mirror doesn’t lock in place anymore wondering if anyone has fixed it. I see a lot of aftermarket ones but don’t know if they will be metal like the factory or plastic.

The shaky mirror isn’t the problem it’s the spring retainer that locks the actual mirror in place

Hey thanks for the reply I don’t know if it’s the same part you’re talking about the 3rd Gen 4Runner correct? I know I can get a replacement online but I don’t think they’re metal like factory ones I wanna say plastic.

They’re alright, was my error both top clips got misaligned the week prior and busted through the spoiler so just the two side were holding on.

I lost mine the other day on the way home from the trail 40mph winds took it lol

I ordered some OEM Toyota u joints as well lemme know how that goes. I have Icons w Delta arms and prototyping some bushings, im at 5.2 castor with 3ish lift.

Just messaged them to see if they’re going to restock.
