I have read all the coolant threads, flushing threads, and the FSM, which show the engine, radiator, and nothing else. I took off the skid plate thing under there long ago. I know it is on US driver's side, but I can't find it. Is this difficult to see? Can it be seen? Any help appreciated...

I bought a hazard switch at a wrecking yard today for $2. It came from a 3rd generation mini. Just in case anyone was confused like I was, you don't need a pigtail, just the switch. As others have mentioned, it doesn't slide right in. Less than 10 seconds with a dremel tool on the wiring...

Snowwolf: My guess is you are right, but synthetics (at least in the US) are not 4X the price anymore. I don't have my reciepts at the moment, but I think my diff oil and bearing grease ran about 1.5x conventional lubricant. I know synthetics are technically better, but I have no idea how...
