    hey mate, yea the rear tail shaft needs to be shortened and the front shaft lengthened for the 5 speed swap (NOTE: to service the hand brake drum on the rear of the gearbox with the 5 speed, you will need to un bolt the gearbox cross member and lower the gearbox down slightly to clear the round...

    i dont think i have a pic of mine...well what it did look like. my hj47 came with one but a faulty diesel filter ended its life coming home from a hunting trip...it was drenched in diesel and could not get the smell out of it even after we washed and dried it out and let it sit for 4 months...it...

    yea the utes are a pretty rough ride! I've got the old man emu leaves in mine with the greaseable shackles, the front is rated at about 200kg over standard and the rears are a 9 pack...not sure of load rating but work well in troopys apparently

    nice truck there mate, i like the mustard! its one of those classic cruiser colours from back in the day, i have a 2inch suspension lift in mine but with 31's, i wouldn't go anything higher for offroad use....they become way too top heavy especially if you have a dog cage or canopy on the back...

    :doh: oh yea forgot to mention...check your glow plugs if they're stuffed, take off the alloy strip that connects them all and run a wire from your positive on the battery and just touch the top of them, if you get a spark it means they're good...no spark and theyre :censor: if even 1 of them...

    congrats on buying your new 47, the smoke in the mornings is a factory feature in the 2h motor:clap: as long as the smoke is white/gray in colour you shouldnt have a problem, it will be running rough for a minute or 2 but then even out nicely, just lift the hand throttle so it brings the revs up...
