2001 LX - 4-speed auto

It's totally intermittent with zero driving related problems, other than the light comes on. I think/hope it's just a bad wire or connection somewhere. Time will tell.

Yesterday, as I pulled up to the house, I noticed my Reverse light came on while I was still in Drive. Checked it a couple of times and it went out. Hmmm. This morning, it happened again, but didn't go out. Time to start testing. In Neutral: In 2nd: In L: It moved the directions...

Last few The FJ70's are used by the Addis Ababa police form in various forms - trucks, troop transport, etc. I didn't get any good shots of them, though. Raymond

Mine does the same thing. I haven't dug into this either to know if it is standard or not.

I would definitely be interested. Of course, I think I also have an amp issue, because the previous owner installed a new sub and it's not functional. I know it was done correctly (checked), but no juice.

Holy Smokes! I can't imagine this type of mechanical detail and the time investment it requires to rebuild so many pieces/parts. I am excitedly following your progress and look forward to your reports from the trip! Raymond
