not true. FZJ80 (1993-1997) is six cylinder, UZJ100 (1998-2007?)started the V8 LC.
For a DD, I'd get the 4runner. Only for trips/wheeling, then get an 80. but that's my opinion...
+1 for Cabras. I also like camping on the peninsula at San Quintin, the old boats on the cliff at Quatro Casas, and surf camping on the cliffs at Punta San Jose. All are a pretty easy drive in one day.
No photos of mine, but I used the stock radiator and stock GM fan clutch assembly. I made a simple shroud from sheet metal and it was the business. Never had a problem with AC on in LA traffic...
I too had very close clearance between the blades and the radiator, but it never caused any issues.
The ends on mine were just brazed together there in the shop - maybe took him half an hour to make the hoses and another bit to hook it all up and fill/test the system.
