Holley EFI Leaning Out / Drivability Issues

Hello everyone, going to post this here as leaning out & drivability seem to be part of my issue. I have an 87 FJ60, 260,000 miles, de-smogged, DUI HEI & Holley Sniper that I would call my daily driver. I’ve been running the Sniper for several years now and it’s been pretty flawless. The...

Builds 1985 FJ60 Gets a Holley Sniper EFI Setup

I followed the instructions from Holley for the initial startup and haven’t changed anything from there. There is a ‘wizard’ you use that gives a few prompts for your sniper model, engine size, etc. Page 39 in the MANUAL. I set my idle to 810 rpm. Running very well and Ive just been letting...

I checked on my throttle plate adjustment this morning. The IAC% was a little high after warming up above 160. It was around 15%. About a half turn of the screw brought it back down to 4%.... I also bumped my idle speed up to 810 from 800, I read somewhere in this post people were having...

Builds 1985 FJ60 Gets a Holley Sniper EFI Setup

I finished my Sniper install at the end of March and have been loving it. Everything is smoother and easier and my gas mileage is floating around 14+ MPG which is just fine with me. Thanks to this thread and everyones input and knowledge it was a pretty simple install other than the usual 30...

Thanks for the advice! Cut and capped... Moving along well now! Do you think it’s a bad idea to run the purge From the charcoal canister into the Tee fitting above the PCV valve? I’m not a vacuum specialist but I feel like the path of least resistance would mean there isn’t enough vacuum to...

Builds 1985 FJ60 Gets a Holley Sniper EFI Setup

I’m a few days into my Sniper install and wanted to share a little issue I ran into today. I’m curious how others are dealing with this as well? On the carb insulator the pipe for the purge on the charcoal canister seems to be in the way of the throttle linkage for the Sniper. I either need...

In regards to the Sniper conversion what is everyone doing with the fluid heat riser? I installed the man-a-fre kit with my header install and de-smog a while back. I live in New York so I do deal with some what cold temps but would love to lose it if it’s unnecessary once I get the Sniper on.

TrollHole Cruisers Carb Install on a 60

My first post here, mostly because with some searching I’ve always found the answer I was looking for so thank you everyone for that. I seem to be striking out on this one and this thread seems the best place to revive an old topic and hopefully get some help. I have an 87 de-smogged FJ60...
