Those carbs work pretty good right out of the box. And even rebuilt and just cleaned up. I just sent the one off of my gen 1 one out to my dad in Sask to put on one of his grain trucks taking the Holley off of it. I did have minor heat soak on mine but not bad I put the Holley heat Shield setup...
I had a bucking issue and it was the HEI cutting in and out check wires around alternator I had an MSD with bare wire shorting out and it killed the MSD 6aL. If it isn’t fuel maybe check some wiring
Yep the diesel tranny has a longer fine spline input shaft and deeper bellhousing. I think it was just to keep the transmission in the stock location when switching from 6cylinder gas to the shorter 4 cylinder diesel ,the diesel needed the longer input shaft.. So longer bearing retainer. To...
Loosen the bearing caps and see if you can get it out when you torque the trunnion bearings sometimes it squeeze the birf ,loosen knuckle caps and see if it comes out. Did you grind and fit them with the knuckle removed. If so this may be your problem on why they are stuck now
I don’t think I have ever seen springs on the seats. There are differences like fold down leg on later years differences in the vinyl where they screw to the west frame on the back rest corners. Some have different mounts for the rubber bumpers. But I have not noticed a spring before.
It lays on the top edge with lip down drill holes into top of windshield frame or if your lucky yours are threaded and you can Try to line up the holes to the holes you drill in the channel.
