oh man! - if you're doing an engine swap anyway, assuming you have the whole front radiator support out of the way - I would think mating up the gearbox to the engine first..then installing it all fully assembled would be a lot easier.
I wouldnt worry too much about the mock up of the cross...
yeah - I've thought of that as well. I'm kinda miffed at cruisercorp because I didnt quite believe it that they just "found some OEM brown dashpads laying around" and so I asked them specifically - are these new oem / not refurbed that their answer was yes/new. They just didn't mention that...
Hard to say what the original color is for the dash cap. To be fair - It is nicely painted - but selling it as OEM new for $800 - it’s not what they advertised.
I can paint a used one myself!!
The evidence of having been sprayed brown is that the entire underside is covered in brown...
Thanks folks!!
I double / triple checked. This thing was sold as new OEM but was clearly just sprayed. I’m kicking off a return.
The last thing I bought from them was a new turn signal / combo switch. I had Landcruiser NW install it while it was there for some other work - and they ended up...
Hey fellow mudders!!
Saw an email blast from CruiserCorp a few weeks ago " OEM Dash Pads are Back in Stock! "

Kinda couldn't believe they found some OEM dash pads somewhere...suspicious enough that I emailed them "are you sure - I can't believe it?"

Hiya Portland area cruiser peeps. Anyone in the market for a fresh BFG AT K02 33x10.5.15 - spare or whatever?
i'm going back to 31's in a couple weeks - and i'm looking to have my spare match - have a classifieds post here...

For sale is Qty 1 BFG AT K02 - 33x10.5.x15 - brand new - never been driven on.
This tire was my spare...it has never been anywhere except tucked up underneath the truck in the spare spot. It's a little dirty but otherwise like new...still...
I will 2nd or 3rd the dowel pin as guides.
I did my own automatic to 5 speed swap back in 2018. And I worked so effing gard to get the transmission to slide all the way home. I fought it for a few days. My mentor said. Dude. Buy some bolts at the hardware store - hacksaw off the heads - shape...
yeah - stainless sheet metal screws for now.
i had visions of using a forstner bit to make little recesses in the cutting board for stylish button head screws, or maybe allen head nuts, but my wife suggested those will just get impacted with food / sand / dirt. so i kept it simple and just...
while camping with friends, our cruiser typically ends up as kitchen central during dinner prep, and then later it becomes cocktail party central after dinner. hence - 5+ years of that and the carpet on the tailgate was pretty gross.
so - why not turn it into a functional cutting board surface...
