    ive had plenty of winshield chips w a hood deflector and without. couldnt really say. but i lmow foe certain it protects the hood from most stuff. i CAN confirm it wont help if the truck is hit by an elk. lol

    lol. still have the bra for my '98 4runner (5spd). came w matching window covers too. yes, it's all about the abuse the front ends get out here in the desert and pine country. i find a hood protector works well. never really have problems w them. i dont mind the look. not sure how i feel about...

    update. getting a very little rubbing at the front of the running boards when the suspension articulates. ie, hardly ever on surface streets. not sure if ill do a body lift first or do the suspension lift. anyone have the 255/75/17 tires and can confirm theyll fit underneath w an oem trailer...

    no. i think i might just go with the type that bolts to the rear facing frame. easy to install. only concern is the lack of added protection a full hitch provides to the rear bumper fascia.

    grabbed method rims w the same +25 offset. put on 255/75/17 (32.1"). no rubbing until i went offroad. only had a bit of rubbing on the driver's side where the bolt attaches the running board endcap to the truck. replaced it w a lower profile screw. the tire will fit the stock spare location. i...
