As said it sounds like a head gasket oa crack in the head or block. when you have it running look and see if you have air bubbles in the water that is a definate sign that you have serious problembs. then you can check the pressure on each cylinder that will narrow it down to a cylinder.

You have a lot of choises when you re roof you can lay a good Corning fiber glass righi over the existing roof with out ever stripping the old roof off. but what ever you do get qualith materials.
