I did the same thing. I made some mounts out of scrap ABS I had laying around for these lights, and used the wiring to power them. They're uneven, but better than nothing.

@Gassiper what's the rough cost on recovering the seat bottoms? Having an upholstery shop do it?

Yeah I ended up just unplugging the stock one and plugging in the new one and I left it there. No rattles and everything works properly. I might end up looking more into the smart tap so I can get rid of the longer first flash and have some extra features.
