The trip ended up being about 3800 miles all together over 17 days and we were averaging a hand calculated 14mpg across the trip. Gas on average was about $3.50/gal so yes about $1K in gas is correct. Cant put a price tag on a good old...

Went to the Tatacoa Desert 🏜️ 🌵. We drove way back inside the desert until we saw no other cars or people. Such a surreal experience. We found an interesting Ecohotel and spent two nights watching the stars at night and exploring the landscapes...

I am 69 and still working half-time, sometimes more. I love what I do, I do 90% of it from home on my own schedule, and it pays well. No plans to stop any time soon.

This beauty of a 1967 FJ40 was spotted in Marysville, TN….the owners own Swara Taproom….the beer is cold, the service is impeccable. On special occasions, the beer taps on the Cruiser can accommodate.
