Use the GooglePlay store for the Button app. The climate control app the APK file is in this thread. Download it to a USB drive and open/install it using the file manager on the T’EYES unit.
I figured out a quick way to access the app! I downloaded a utility called Button Assistive Touch that allowed me to create my own quick launch button. It took a little fooling around but I got it to launch the climate control app instead of the terrible built in one.
I know this thread is a few months old but I installed today and had a question: Is there anyway to get this working as a replacement for the snowflake icon?
Otherwise, this is awesome! A huge improvement over the factory app.
Honestly not sure however at least with the Teyes I know where I can go for documentation and support. I'm sure they are all built off the same android core and probably the same hardware.
Today's project was hardwiring my dash cam. I've got an older ROAV unit that I may upgrade soon. Fortunately (unfortunately) the previous owner had bluetooth speaker mounted in the sunglasses holder. They had already tapped 12v switched power off of the sunroof controls. I tried to get some...
I just installed the Teyes 2k unit in my 2005 LC. Not the easiest swap in the world but it works really well. I'd steer clear of random eBay/Ali models.
I was running wire for my new 360 cameras yesterday and tried to remove the backup camera, unsuccessfully. I pulled both screws and had the back trunk door opened around the lock. Pretty sure I found the harness but didn't see/couldn't feel any clips for the bracket. I couldn't figure out how...
Got the sub installed today. Like a dummy, I forgot to by sound matting so it’s a little noise. Also ran wires for the rear 360 camera and the turn signal taps.
I don’t have a diagram on the older amps. Sorry but I’m pretty sure I’ve seen it floating around in here. In my mind there are probably a handful of things to check:
1. Is your head unit outputting sound? It looks like it’s using RCA outputs to maybe an adapter harness. Disconnect the RCA...
Can’t 100% tell from the photos but looks like this is one of the android units. A lot of them
Don’t event have an onboard amp so you are probably safe from how you hooked up. Next step would probably be checking if the amp has power with a multimeter.
Do you have any pics of the install, particularly the wiring harness? What radio did you use. My fear is their harness fed speaker level outputs to the line level inputs of the amplifier and cooked the amp input.
