What does the 95-97 have over the 94 year FJ80?

Thank you SBFJ60FIG. I'd be interested in hearing the reasoning why not a "pre 95" FJ, (OBD ?). Also, what part of Chicago are you from? I was raised in the 10th Ward, Ed Vrdolyak-land (far Southeast side) and lived for a few years in Hyde Park. Now for a couple years in Bangkok. Thanks.

What does the 95-97 have over the 94 year FJ80?

Hello. I'm considering either a FJ80 or a FJ62. In the 80 series, I'm sold on the 94 (& older) dash. I'm also pleased to know that the 4.5 began in the 94. What do the younger (95-97) models have over the 94 year. Also, how does the FJ62 match up to the 94 FJ80? Thanks for your help.

    2x4 Lexus GS350 FJ62-80 Conversion ???

rear wheel drv GS350 Thank you all for your experience and constructive input. Please alow me to reiterate my FJ desires: to, only in an 62 or 80, create an inner city, reasonably sized, practical, classic, utilty beast. My real aim is to be able to USE one of these two models as a DAILY driver...

    2x4 Lexus GS350 FJ62-80 Conversion ???

Thanks fellas, Consider that at oner point converting with a 350 Chevy was cutting edge. With continuing advanced engine technology, I was just wondering, can this be a new plateau? Yes, gearing & HP-Torque curve play here heavily, in spite of both being rear drive & a varience of only a few...

    2x4 Lexus GS350 FJ62-80 Conversion ???

Thanks for the suggestions though, no Runners & no Tundras. For a "City Beast" I love that the 62 & the 80 are not huge, (both under 16 feet even with larger bumpers). A Tundra is just too big. I actually considerd a 1997-2001 Cherokee Classic (a little small at only 167 inches long) w/ BMW M...
