This is a widow marker. I keep it im my office to show people who have not been in the business since christ was a corporal. You are referring to a lock ring wheel or a multi piece wheel which are all three different things.
I had a customer who thought the same thing and it was the upper half of the heat shield rattling sounded just like a bad cat. I removed and repaired it put it back on and noise is gone. Might be worth checking.
I don't notice it squatting at all. But i have all new suspension bushings and offset trailing arms. I did a dc shaft up front but it made no difference in vibration thus the part time conversion. I did the conversion simply to get rid of the vibration. The mileage is on a 3fe and i did not...
So 2500 miles later I'm getting about 11mpg on the highway up from 9mpg not figuring in oversize tires. Way easier steering and no more front driveline vibrations. I have added the arb deluxe bull bar and 9k winch. Right now I am making the olympic peninsula loop and getting about 9mpg loaded...
No rust over wheel wells in rear. 2" ome lift. 20k on transfer case rebuild. Have matching aluminum wheel to replace destroyed wheel. I will take more pictures if wanted.
