This definitely plays a role. When I was towing slow on my land, the tires were wildly compressed just going over normal bumps when the trailer was attached. I do think a tire upgrade would help with the floatiness, and if someone is towing...

A thought occurs, I wonder if the OEM soft side walls negatively affected you towing experience @Canyonero? I've noticed they are super soft compared to the lateral stiffness of my KO2s on my 200; granted LT tires vs passenger tires.

Just wrapped up the maiden voyage for mine near Ouray, CO. Did Imogene Pass, Mineral Creek, and Engineer Pass. This thing was a joy to put through its paces.

Frankly, I think with the OT trim, all you need are: Sliders Skids Wheels/Tires (34"-35") And you're golden for a great majority of trails.
