Just get some new glass and be done with it. It's literally a 10 minute install and you won't need to think about it for another 20 years. I screwed with sealants for way to long and eventually just put in new glass. Afterwards I wished i hadn't wasted my time trying to seal it. Just my 2 cents.

It's a coated multi layer steel. There's a big difference between failing at 100k and failing at 275k. lol I would guess it was 20 years and 275,000 miles of heating and cooling cycles that affected it.
