re blue smoke yes the whole engine has been rebuilt, the water pump was not replaced and the thermostat is pooched.. there is good presure in the cooling system.would a bunk water pump cause blue smoke?

I have an 86 fj60 with a turbo 2h, it has a 3" stainless exhaust, but there is no cat, could i put an after market cat in the system or do diesels not have cats?
