If I can find a good fj40 mechanic in the area :) I was going to send my carb out for desmogging, but now that I am back in Cal I may need it :) Haven't found a new aisin carb to buy yet without the smog stuff so I can drop it in place when I replace or repair the header... I will look at...

As close to stock as possible. I will get another rig before an engine swap.

Speed won't help the handling, downhill at 60 is too fast for the corners...so I am are still slowing down traffic. Thus considering adding to the fleet. I am fine in the sierras, but heading over into Nevada or Arizona....not so much.

1975 (4 spd) 33" tires, 2.5" old man emu suspension, mostly desmogged 2f engine with a leak in the exhaust manifold. Smells like it is running a little rich so it needs some carb work. I can do 60 down the flat but that seems to be where it should stop. Up hills and in the corners running...
