    It is recommended in the manual to drive with the hubs locked every once in a while (50 miles or so), just to keep the front diff. lubricated. Just don't drive too long on dry pavement as the wheels won't slip around corners and DON'T drive with just one side locked and the other free.

    A good test for the alternator is to disconnect the battery while the car is running. If the alternator is not putting out enough power to run the car the engine will die. If it doesn't die you can turn on all the accessories as see if it taxes the system. ( I just did this to my '93 Toyota...

    My FJ60 oil cooler is leeking water (rusted through the metal. I would like to just bypass the water lines around the cooler. I'm running synthetic oil. Any ideas if this will hurt anything?

    Thanks 2mbb, This will help alot. I find most Toyota Dealers have no clue to Land Cruisers. I live outside of Chicago, IL and order my parts from Burt Toyota in Englewood (Denver), CO. I call and tell them what I need and they usually have it on the shelf. :bounce:

    Does anyone know what the radiator cap is rated at in PSI for an '85 FJ60 2F engine? :)
