I’m using the Rhinorack backbone and pioneer platform on my Tundra. Assembling the platform is pretty time consuming, but the install is very straight forward. It’s super sturdy and allows us to have dance competitions on the roof.
What you described is exactly what I experienced with my 2000 lx470. While mine wasn't causing problems other than noise, it just got worse and worse until I installed new DT headers. The manifold expands at the crack when the engine gets warm, so the ticking is less noticeable. I've had my...
Mine showed up in the mail yesterday. It's a beauty! The handle from my cheap set of Amazon bearing drivers fit perfectly. Looks like I get to crawl around under the 100 this weekend!
Alright, I ordered seals and that tool. I’m really not excited about this !:cry:
Ho do I tell how far to insert the seals? After watching that video I’m pretty sure that I inserted the passenger side seal too far, but I can’t really tell what to do with the driver side.
I finally completed rebooting both my CVs and now I have leaks at both of the front differential CV seals. I replaced the seals when I did the CVs as preventative maintenance, but seems like I shot myself in the foot. The leaking is very mild--it's not dripping, but it's definitely wet on both...
I got a proper set of pliers and they made quick work of it. One side done, one side to go. I was able to bake a loaf of Russian rye black bread while I reassembled the unit.
That’s what I figured, but they bent so easily I honestly thought I must have done something wrong. Do you think I messed up my new boot, or can I just tighten the clamp with the new pliers I’m getting delivered today?
What is the deal with these bands? The tool I bought from O’Reilly bent immediately and now I’m worried that the clamp isn’t tight enough and I have to get new clamps. I tried hammering it down but stopped as soon as I saw that it was just deforming the new boot. Should I just cut my losses now...
I just had to trial and error it until I could get it bolted up. There is room for the dipstick tube, but bolting the brackets to the engine was a nightmare. No room at all since the headers pretty much block the bolt head.
