It's worth the time to drop the motor (all of 3 bolts) and disassemble the motor and knock the crap/junk that accumulated in the motor housing. The brushes can be a bit of a challenge to put back in but you'll figure that out. With a little luck you'll get another 12 months out of the heater.
Washer motor is always powered. The wire to the wiper switch from the pump is hot. The circuit is complete at the wiper switch when you turn the knob and the switch provides the ground. Check the wire from the pump to the switch for an unintended ground.
Used Summit to transport the 2 pigs and the 40 from Chicagoland to northern Vermont. Went off without a hitch. Picked up and delivered on time by a dedicated 3 vehicle trailer. No damage or drama along with what I consider a reasonable rate.
