    A tip for this - use a stocking (as in a womans stocking) or panty hose as you Americans call them. Chuck a pair in the tool box, they're cheap. Much less risky than paper and you can stretch one over a spout, tape it on with masking tape, insulation tape, whatever tape you have and that's that.

    I'm not trying to be a smart ass but a double line does not double your pull. it just halves the amp draw with the result that the motor can run a little easier and there is less pressure on the battery.

    I know this is an old thread, but I was searching for something else (distance between chassis rails at the front) and found it. I have a TDS 9.5 (electric) winch which I've waterproofed and will work under water with no problem. I have to take issue with some of the comments here about...
