Super easy to disconnect. The beeper is brown and just clips into a hole on the frame above the muffler. Pop it off and then disconnect the harness.

When opening and closing the power lift gate, my 2018 Land Cruiser was no longer sounding the warning beeps. The beeper/buzzer is located on the frame, just above the exhaust muffler, tailpipe. Part #89747-52010. I made the swap and fixed the issue.

I did get the illuminated scuff plates installed and working. I needed to connect to the courtesy lights, through the door. I went through the rubber door conduit, and then came out under the flat harness shield. BINGO.

Correct, i do not have that pre-installed connector. Mine is a 2015, i thought it was going to be there, but it wasn't.
