Has anyone done this? how hard was it? what was required to cut/add to the FJ frame? I have a working, running BJ42 with a bent frame and have found a bunch of FJ frames around.

How hard is the frame swap? taking BJ42 parts and sticking it on a FJ40 frame? There are a lot for sale around here at the moment. (if the frame straightening doesn't work out)

I have an intermittent problem with my speedo. On occasion it appears that a spring behind it is winding up and then it "ticks" to a higher speed and comes back to the right speed. It looks somewhat like a catapult being wound up and then released. Any suggestions as to the cause?

went with the epoxy route. filled them up well. couldn't find a paint to match - so i may end up painting the whole top.... getting closer. and have some more time to work on it now as well. hopefully friday week.

i'm all good with panels at the moment - fibreglassing the bonnet holes and the bottom of the doors. all the tub has been welded and primed. cleaned all the moss and stuff off the top and found two holes in it that leak through to the inside. best be to fix them up? fibreglass or epoxy? new top?
