I came across this old thread by chance tonight:

Similar but not the same heater, but there is some talk and a pic or two of a vent like you mention. No answers but HTH.

Thank you Chamba and Matt. I'm currently going through all the threads on the 45 section and reading everything LV related. I was surprised to see a pic of my truck so I had to ask. :)
Yes, the roof is as rusty as it looks. Probably worse now and I didn't get the front windshield either...
Yes, holy thread revival batman!
Anyway, the 45V in the pic is mine (new to me). Obviously the eBay link is now dead but I don't suppose anyone on here saved any pics from the listing? I do this quite a bit for future reference. I wonder if it sold back then and how much?
Very very...
No I don't have a set but I was interested in what sort of construction they would be. I wonder if those bows are factory or Army fabrication. Do you know if the trucks were delivered with soft tops? How about the roll bar that came with yours? Doesn't look Toyota to me.
The bows look...
Yes, the eBay one. Not so sure about the "little" rust part! The more resto threads I read about these wagons the more worried I am about what else lurks beneath that paint. What is it with the fugly green paint on these rigs? I've seen pics of three oz 45v's with varying shades of snot...
Looking good mate. I really like the look of a topless troopy. I take it that it would have had a full soft top in its service days? Do you have the bows?
What is the round thing on the right side of the original rear bumper?
Some good bits:
Rear brake light lenses are in great shape. Non US rear turn signals (not so great). I thought the interior door pulls were non stock until I tracked down a pic of the same ones in another thread - I believe they are late model (67?)
