lets say i cut out all that bad rust and clean up the surface rust and rust convert and clean and all that but have that bump stop that sits on the frame even bottoming out wouldn't that stop it from doing so?
Hi all i have a 80 cruiser and the rear cone bump stop on the passenger side is rusted out and the bump stop is sitting on the bottom of the spring. i have some timbren bump stops coming in but those sit on the out side of where that cone bump stop is.. opinions?
how worried should i be if the rubber isolators that sit inside the rear springs fell out and is just sitting inside the spring at the moment... and how do i fix something like that?
i got that titanium welder from harbor freight so it does both gas and gasless, so if im having a bad time or hard time ill switch over to gas. but i appreciate your advice thank you!
i feel like it was an okay deal...
1997 land cruiser interior was in decent shape ,triple locked, 40th anniversary, engine ran smooth and great, no leaks, everything was working it was just those couple rust spots.. all that for 7k. thoughts?
oh wow im assuming its that black box under the driver seat right? i dont have the fobs but once all the major suspension/engine/body rust is taken car of i was looking into getting the fob if its doable with that black box i have!
okay im planning on trying to cutting out method and welding and paint since im going to be doing it for the rear wheel well anyways. hopefully its not too bad! here is some before pictures..
