So...4L80 is rated to 8K towing?
Or do I misunderstand?
Yes I know nothing of GM-speak.
What is the A442 rated for?
Hey Eric! Your 1FZ and A442 have traveled 3 states yet are still in my possession and in the same condition as when I picked them up.
Tho have to say I walked away envious of...
You could'a out-of-phased your front drive shaft for free and got better range than those 4" dashers.
Admittedly tho the tempo would be, "...creative at best." - Simon Cowell (in a good mood)
So that's all it was??
One mans pedantic is another mans insane.
Well done.
I'm tempted to replicate your actions just because I would never do so otherwise.
But then I've worked hard to resist temptation.
I vote for FAQ status simply because it makes 80 owners look insanely pedantic.
All good stuff.
I didn't mention the diode route as I felt that might get into the weeds (more). It is and does as mentioned, for better or worse.
Guess it really depends on how much (manual) control one wants over their system.
There's a path for every level of preference. 👍
Well if that's what that is, there is a product to resolve it though the plug would need to fully leave the chat first. I used the product for over 18 mos even though it was marketed as just a 'temporary fix'.
And even still I'd have to PM OP the source of the product as they will remain...
I get what you're saying.
I'm just emphasizing, don't let budget priority leave out attention to critical systems or gear.
Things that seem like 'just a money suck' and/or 'do not add to functionality' cannot be overlooked or overstated.
Redundancy is critical going solo in remote areas. Or...
Another option...
One could have just a single display.
And using a 3 pole switch - ON - OFF - ON...
Switch to the left to view Passenger batt,
Switch to the right to view Driver batt,
Switch to center position to turn off display.
Nice build so far.
You didn't mention electrical.
What are the redundancy plans for starting the truck and/or running accessories?
What about redundancy for charging current stores (batteries)?
How much base lining has been done? I only ask because plenty of worn parts - not attended to -...
For higher VOC in a smaller package, up the panel voltage. A 24V panel has a VOC of 35V+.
The Bluetti appears to handle up to 150VOC input, maxing at 700W. So could go 48V panel.
Also confirming it has a built-in controller. Not sure if it's mppt tho.
Would think it is for its price.
I misread the post too thinking it said 'descent'.
At any rate, is it difficult to restart after it stalls?
Can you restart while still on the ascent or do you have to roll back to level ground to restart?
Are you caning it up the hill or doesn't matter?
As far as being 'normal', I've never...
This would be the passenger side. But agree they don't appear to make that model with reversed (opposite) terminals anymore.
https://www.interstatebatteries.com/products/srm-31?productline=rv
Plus my driver side doesn't have dual terminals either, so it could be a prior generation. I didn't...
FWIW I'm running dual Interstate marines (engine bay) that come in R-configuration. 31 size.
But then there's a guy nearby who resells them so presumably they aren't easy to come by on a discount.
Running well 4 years on now, tho keeping a check on fluid level has become an additional...
