    FJ40 Carb Fuji copy sellers

OK, OK... drink a cup of coffee and relax. There are many vendors that support Mud. It IS possible to purchase the same parts from multiple sellers on other items, just as there are multiple carb rebuilders on here. I was curious if this carb is "exclusive" to City Racer or if it was...

    FJ40 Carb Fuji copy sellers

I'm needing a carb for my 82 FJ40. I'm not wanting to spend the $800+ for a new OEM. I've read good things about the Fuji copy that City Racer sells. Does anyone else sell this Fuji OEM copy? Links? Part#? Thanks

Am I understanding this correctly? The video screen behind the bezel is a phone? Or, you have a screen behind the bezel that is connected to an Android phone? It looks great, by the way.

DADGUMIT! Knuckle Rebuild! Something ain't right

Thanks to everyone for their input. I pulled the rotor back off and started checking. The culprit was the outer race of my outer bearing. I swear I had tapped it in till it bottomed, but I was wrong. Imagine that, lol. It still had almost 1/8" before it was set. Tapped it all the way in...

DADGUMIT! Knuckle Rebuild! Something ain't right

Yep. I used a bearing race installer. In my mind I've done everything correctly, but obviously something is wrong. I guess I'll pull the rotor back off tomorrow, clean the new grease out, and double check myself. Thanks for helping me think and rethink my steps.

DADGUMIT! Knuckle Rebuild! Something ain't right

Thanks for the input. The rear seal is flush with the rotor housing. I put it in with a bearing race driver. Should it be flush or recessed? I thought it to be flush. I will pull it back off tomorrow and try and figure this out. I've rebuilt an axle before on another 80 of mine with no...

DADGUMIT! Knuckle Rebuild! Something ain't right

Putting everything back together. All new seals, knuckle bearings, and wheel bearings. Wheel bearings are KOYO from Napa, 943 and 945. I just put my rotor on with the new bearings. I put on the thrust washer, nut, lock washer, and 2nd nut...all torqued to spec. Bearings feel good...

FYI... Koyo wheel bearings at NAPA

Not sure. I bought a refresh kit with the gaskets, seals, and knuckle bearings a few months back. The kit didn't have the wheel bearings so I sourced them on my own. NAPA is running their 20% off bag deal. That's what got them under $100.

FYI... Koyo wheel bearings at NAPA

FYI...I just went to NAPA and picked up wheel bearings for my front axle refresh. All 4 Koyo's for $99.

1997 Axle/Knuckle rebuild - Is this much play normal?

As the title states rebuilding the front axle/knuckle. As I'm taking everything apart and cleaning I notice the play in the axle. Is this normal?

Driveshaft bump? Universal joints? slip yoke?

Yep, I don't think anything is rubbing. I've looked for marks on the driveshaft and I don't see anything at all. Something is causing the noise though. I'm hoping the camera will show what the driveshaft is doing. Maybe show it being in a bind or whatever is happening.
