It’s alive again. I got a new oil pan and gasket. 12101-61013 (pan), 12151-61011 (oil pan gasket), 90341-12012 (plug), and 90430-12031 (plug gasket). Thanks @OGBeno for the part numbers.
Let me just say, you can do this on the floor of your...
All fixed. Removed and straightened bracket and bolt best I could, re-installed. Used a pry bar to pull belt tight, and tightened the clamping bolt. Installed the safety screw finger tight. One banana job . Thanks to all.
The nut that was missing in the photo in the other thread was the nut on the long bolt that passes through the lower mount for the idler.
The idler has a bolt that passes through the upper bracket. Pull outward on the idler and tighten it in...
That is the lower bracket which attaches to the engine block. I would remove yours and straighten it out, and reinstall. That upper bracket is not meant to tension the belt. It is simply there as a fail safe if the hardware comes loose for the idler.
Duracool is an excellent refrigerant given it is mostly propane (R290) which has too many DOT/EPA regulations for me so I do not use it in customer vehicles for that reason. But rest assured...I have used straight propane and it does cool better...
You are missing the factory bumper brackets that would have been riveted to the frame. See this thread below.

Nothing like last minute Lucy here....
Leaving for a week tomorrow and the header just landed. It's on and in place. Waiting for the Wizard to show up to glue the new to the old together.
So it's been a minute, but I finally got the ole girl back on the road. Still a few things to work out, but I'll save that for another day. Here's a couple pics of it as it sits right now. I'm waiting for DHL to show up with the front bumper end...

Due to AC condensers being NLA and difficult to source from a third party, I have recently completed what will be a drop in kit form condenser. And its efficiency is unsurpassed. On aveage, %20 less heat load on radiator, lower head pressures...
The swing arms just slide down on the spindles. Remove the tire, hi-lift jack, and fuel cans from the swing arms then take the hi-lift and use it to jack up the arms as near the spindle as you can get.

Its good to be back.
I've been wanting to spend time under it the last 6 years or better, but there was always something else.
Brakes are much much better, still not quite 100%, but adequate for now.
The weeping 1986 heater hoses and a rear...
Good to see you and your 60 back. Stinks about the tires. Maybe get the new Kenda Klever R/T KR601 33x9.5x15? My tires are 7 years old and they still look brand new, tread wise. I’ll be in a similar predicament soon enough! Sadly the tires won’t...
Coming up on around 23 years of ownership, and the last half dozen were more about neglect than care.....
But thats changing!
At this point I can't remember why I stopped driving it. I thought it was starting to run warm on hot days, but the last...
Got it figured out, feel dumb now looking back but the pedal to master was out of adjustment too far. No play between and it was slightly pushed in at all times so slave cylinder couldn't retract
Forgot about this… I put my 13 year old behind the wheel for the first time earlier this week. She putzed around an empty parking lot at night for 5 minutes. @POTATO LAUNCHER recommendation of putting first time drivers in low range gearing was...
