    Rear AC delete options

Hi Folks, My wife’s 2006 LC (100 series) has had a lot of rear AC issues and in order to avoid throwing more money at it my garage has recommended capping the two lines (leaking straight out anyway). My issue is that one line measures 8mm OD, for which a cap kit is available, and the other...

    Speedometer/odometer not working.

Well, this looks a lot different than the last time I searched for my FSM here. Thanks! Hopefully the exploded diagrams get me there. The terminology is a little confusing- the Driven gear is the nylon/plastic gear that is replaceable, correct? I need to pull that and check.

    Speedometer/odometer not working.

Does anyone have a picture handy of the spot on the Tcase where the speedo cable inserts? I have a rebuilt transmission (old one overheated badly, no speedo/odo since). I spoke to Georg about this a while ago, but I need to figure out if I can locate and replace the nylon gear in my 62, and I...

Chasing the Elusive 100 Series Rear Wind Deflector

Ok, just to continue to beat a dead horse (with a plastic wind deflector), are the brackets that my 2006 came with (with no deflector) for the deflector or the "whale tail" thing? I am having a lot of water leaking in around the back hatch and I am trying to decide if I should ditch the brackets...

increased engine temps/overheating w/ new front end aux lights?

On this same note, then- does anyone have a (current) source for a plug and play wiring harness upgrade for the 62? I want to go with the Hella 100/80 as OSS describes. This has become an issue since I had a lot of trouble seeing my way home with my family in the Cruiser on a dark and stormy...

increased engine temps/overheating w/ new front end aux lights?

This is all great info, thanks- nothing like someone who has done it already, Mudders! I was mostly concerned because of a web episode of an Australian (if I recall correctly) Overlanding show where he described a front license plate frame that only partially occluded his grill (on a modern...

increased engine temps/overheating w/ new front end aux lights?

Hey all: Just curious, I have been contemplating a set of round led driving/fog lights for the bull bar on my 89 FJ62. Stock engine, 108k miles, daily driver. Have been considering lighting up grades in general, including headlights to the Hella halogens, also a wiring harness upgrade and I want...

    Dash Mount Phone Holder

I don't have a pic handy, but in my 62, I did the Schosche small magnet mount (the one with adhesive mount and a ball mount) to the left of the stereo hole. I did a pioneer bluetooth single din (it's a 62), and ran the microphone to the top of the steering column. THe one thing I needed to truly...

    Quick tire replacement question

Went with the 31" Goodyear Wrangler All Terrain Adventurer with Kevlar bead, mostly because I couldn't find a tire with a longer name. Goodyear dealer (convenient, always very helpful and willing to take on odd issues), was willing to mount the non-stock size tire. They even checked out my...

    Quick tire replacement question

Wow, you guys are, as always, the best. I wish I had more experience and mechanical knowledge to contribute. Instead I lurk and bought a star. Much appreciated! This saves me a fifth tire and install.

    Quick tire replacement question

You are correct, I meant the Wrangler AT Adventure w/ kevlar, not the Duratrac. I do want a tread warranty if possible. I have a very convenient Goodyear shop that does good work in the past for me, so I feel compelled to check them out.
