    Another CEL Code 52 Thread 1994 FZJ80.

Originally timing when investigated was -3 BTDC. I advanced the timing seeing as it was retarded 6 below the standard while in service mode ( 3 degrees per the FSM) and we went from there. I adjusted it per this thread…FSM says normal timing when in Neutral without A/C on is 2-13 degrees...

Update. Checked the wire from the ECU for continuity with infinite resistance. Wire does not seem to have shorted itself out/grounded out.

    Instrument cluster woes

Prior to posting the cluster back in the dash, because we all know how much of a PITA that is, try attaching a pair of alligator clips to a 9V and the other end to some multimeter tips and go to each light in the dash and verify it works before reinstalling. Just my $0.02. also...if you picked...

    Instrument cluster woes

Same. Mine did the same thing. Took me pulling the instrument cluster, reseating the LEDs and rotating some for all of it to finally work.

Trip Meter HAAALLLP! Toyota Cross Compatibility questions.

My ‘94 FZJ80’s trip meter has finally bit the dust. I appreciate the check in. I really need to update this thread to show everything we’ve done with this rig. We relocated to San Antonio. We’ll be here for about a year as a navigate my way through a Flight Paramedic course at the University there.

Pretty sure I have it @Cruiser Jimmy. I'm down in NC. I'll have my brother take a picture and send it to me to confirm. Where are you located?

Can you shoot a pic? I want to make sure I have the right thing he's searching for. I know I have the bottom bracket that ties in with motor mount that the two roll pins tie into. I also still have the compressor up for grabs.

:hillbilly: Hopefully here soon I'll be replacing the suspension with the OME heavy springs. The suspension I've had on it now is about 8 years old so it could probably use some refreshing...but alas my wallet is only so deep.
