I wouldn't worry to much on the rear end off-set issue. Go ahead and use the GM units all the way back & sell your Toyota stuff to re-coup some of the $$$. The driveline is long enough, w/ the u-joints in phase, I doubt you'll get any vibration. Heck, if you do, get a Chevy 6-lug 12 bolt...

Easy way to tell....Jack up both wheels, put it in neutral (hope you have the front blocked), turn a wheel. If the other one turns in the same direction...you got some type of locker, if the opp. wheel turns in the opposite direction...you got an open diff. (Get a lock-rite, LA locker, or what...

I too am having some 2F problems...well, it's not a 2F, it's a combo that bolts up but runns???? The 84 FJ60 lost the big end on a rod (@70mph!)...well, good head, bad block. I had a 71 F block...rebuilt both head & block, mated them together...wolla...a DOG!!! I have little power & only 11...
